GHENT, 23 September 2025 – With the addition of A&B Partners Waregem, PIA Group, the fastest growing accountancy, audit and advisory group in the Benelux, strengthens its presence in West Flanders. The family-run firm has deliberately chosen the support of a larger group. “A&B Partners Waregem wants to prepare sustainably for the future,” says Steven Brouckaert, Executive Chairman of PIA Group. “By providing support in crucial areas such as IT and digital transformation, PIA Group gives accountancy, audit and advisory firms the leverage they need to be better equipped to meet the industry’s challenges. We also ensure that firms retain their own DNA, an aspect that is highly valued.”
When Françoise Amez and Dimitri Denys took on the joint leadership of A&B Partners Waregem, the decision didn’t come out of the blue. Both already had more than twenty years’ experience at a local accountancy and advisory firm for SMEs. It was founded in 1972 following the introduction of VAT, with the aim of providing entrepreneurs with accounting, financial and later also tax support. Eventually the business developed into the accountancy firm known today as A&B Partners Waregem.
The leadership of Françoise and Dimitri builds on many years of expertise and a solid foundation of reliability and commitment, values that are deeply embedded in the firm’s DNA. With seven dedicated employees, A&B Partners Waregem enthusiastically supports small SMEs and start-ups through every aspect of their business. Their personal approach and long-term trusted relationships with clients make the firm an attractive partner for entrepreneurs looking to grow their business.
The decision for A&B Partners Waregem to join PIA Group was a deliberate one. “We didn’t want to be assimilated by a large group and lose our firm’s unique identity. “From our very first meeting with PIA Group, we felt it was the right fit,” says Françoise. As an international player in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, PIA Group is known for its approach that allows firms to retain their own DNA, way of working and entrepreneurial drive. “At PIA Group, local roots and scale reinforce one another,” says Steven Brouckaert. “Clients and staff make a conscious choice for a firm. We don’t strip away that identity, quite the opposite: our shared services provide additional leverage.”
For A&B Partners Waregem, personal client service has always been a cornerstone of their business philosophy. But they, too, face new challenges. Dimitri explains: “Rapid digitalisation and increasingly complex legislation are realities we deal with every day. Partnering with PIA Group is therefore a logical next step to ensure we can continue to guarantee our trusted way of working in the future.” Nathalie Calle, CEO of PIA Group BeLux, points to the strength of complementarity: “Thanks to our support services, A&B Partners Waregem can continue to focus entirely on its clients. At the same time, those clients gain access to the expertise of PIA Advisory: from legal and VAT to corporate finance, wealth planning and digital transformation. This way, we provide a 360° approach that dovetails perfectly with the personal and stable character of A&B Partners Waregem.”
Françoise and Dimitri will continue to lead the firm as their clients are used to while becoming partners within PIA Group. “For us, it is important to be able to maintain our trusted way of working. With the support of PIA Group, we gain additional leverage behind the scenes, allowing us to keep focusing on our personal approach to clients.” Steven Brouckaert concludes: “A&B Partners Waregem is the 13th new firm to join PIA Group BeLux this year. We remain on track to achieve our target of €400 million in revenue by year end.”
In a market based on economies of scale, PIA Group aims to be a leading provider of accountancy, audit and advisory services whilst retaining a personal connection between its staff and clients. We therefore drive our growth forward with a continuously expanding group of enterprising partners. The mutual interaction between those partners and our expert teams enables each PIA office to offer entrepreneurs up-to-date services and expertise that really contribute to their professional success and personal happiness. PIA Group was founded in Belgium in 1999 by Steven Brouckaert. The group operates in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, with a total of more than 100 branches and 2,400 staff across these three countries. In 2024 PIA Group realised a turnover in excess of €250 million in Belgium and the Netherlands. The ambition is to reach the €400 million landmark in the Benelux by the end of this year.
